Item Islamization of Knowledge in Bangladesh Hindrances and Solutions(Centre for Research on Islamic Management and Business, 2013-12) Ahsan, Muhammad Amimul; Iqbal, Md. Jaweed; Ullah, Md. CholemThe global Muslim Ummah along with Bangladesh is being declined because of their backward and lowly contemporary position in all fields political, economic and religio-cultural. The main factors behind this decline are the current secular-religious duality of the educational system in Muslim societies and the lack of clear vision to guide and direct Muslim action. In this regard, the Islamization of Knowledge is a comprehensive phenomenon what re-establishes the knowledge on its original basis according to the light of revealed knowledge and it is a reformoriented movement driven by a conscious change in Muslim thought, attitude and behavior and characterized by a commitment to revive Islamic Civilization. The study shows that the IOK project has played a prominent role in contemporary scholarship and literature in Bangladesh, both in theory and practices highlighting the concept, origin and development of IOK. It also attempts to identify the problems and obstacles in the way to promote IOK in Bangladesh with recommending its solutions.Item A Masjid Based Zakat Management Model in Alleviating Poverty: Bangladesh Perspective(Centre for Research on Islamic Management and Business, 2016-12) Kausar, Aflatunal; Alauddin, Md.; Kabir, Mohammad RokibulA Masjid Based Zakat Management Model in Alleviating Poverty: Bangladesh PerspectiveItem Muslim Historiography: The Trends and Nature in Perspective of India (1206-1526 A.D)(Academic Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies MCSER Publishing, Rome-Italy, 2014-03) Absar, A.B.M. NurulHistory is considered as an account of the past and present of human race. That means authentic and scientific analysis of all activities of men included in History. Muslims have glorious contributions on the development of the science and knowledge under the Umayyad (662-750 A.D) and Abbasids (750-1258 A.D) especially on the development of Historiography. Muslims start their historiographical activities by writings on the life and activities of their last Prophet Muhammad (SAAS).Later, in the last decades of 8th century; Muslims develop these activities as a complete part of knowledge. In this way, the trends of the Muslim historiography are expanded to Persia and Indo-Pak sub- continent. In this paper, I am going to make an account on the trends and nature of the Muslim historiography of Sultanate period in India from 1206 to 1526 A.D.Item Muslim Identity, Bengali Nationalism: An Analysis on Nationalism in Bangladesh(Academic Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies MCSER Publishing, Rome-Italy, 2014-03) Absar, A.B.M. NurulWhen East Pakistan1 broke away from Pakistan to become the independent and sovereign nation of Bangladesh in 1971after nine month long war of independent against west Pakistan, many observers believed that South Asia was irrevocably on its route to a secular nationalism beyond religious 'tribalism'2 and 'two nation theory'3 (G.Allana (ed),1967, Pakistan Movement: Historic Documents,p-77 ) which purported the 1947 partition of British India and establishment of Pakistan on the basis of religious separate identity. As later events proved, they were sadly mistaken. The primacy of Islamic traditions and sentiments cast aside by the Bengalis in East Pakistan in 1971 to fight the Pakistani crackdown and later deliberately excised by the new Bangladesh government, subsequently returned as a resilient and widespread political phenomenon. This was loosely characterized as Muslim identity, different from the Bang alee nationalism which was focused on secularism, language and literature.4 The international community was familiar with 'militant' Islam but Muslim consciousness in Bangladesh was not identical to the global Islamic fundamentalism. The growing Muslim consciousness in Bangladesh was still evolving its goals, strategies and tactics. In its broadest connotation, Muslim nationalism in Bangladesh was the sentiment and spirit of 'Muslim heritage and rule in Bengal. It was also the passion of belonging which girded, the Muslims through a common monotheistic faith and a nexus of culture, values, customs, experiences, traditions, personal laws, ways of life and rituals. These were perceived as their distinctive heritage which might, in fact, be the product of coevolving forces over a history. Its basic appeal was the sense of pride, recognition, a yearning for harmony and a mystique which made them 'feel good' and secure against internal constraints and external threats. However, the real arena of dispute between Islamic identity and Bang alee nationalism was its domestic politics. After the breakup of Pakistan, it was an uphill slog for the Islamists to regroup and reassert themselves as a viable political force. The primary objective of this paper is to examine the cultural and political dynamics of Islam and Muslim consciousness in Bangladesh and their confrontation with the secularists and the Bang alee nationalists and try to give an analysis on the nationalism trends of Bangladesh.Item Problems and Prospects of Islamic Capital Market In Bangladesh(Centre for Research on Islamic Management and Business, 2016-12) Muzahid, Mohammad Aman Uddin; Sadat, IrfanaIslamic finance is acquiring a growing respected place in the world financial system and its market share has been growing by more than 15 percent annually for the last ten years. All are obliged to the structured ordinance of Almighty Allah- the animate and inanimate, the entire galaxy and so on. Only the human being has been blessed with the privilege to act on his own among the animal life. But in this respect, the ideas of best management and utilization have been modeled to the humans through the revelations and the Prophets and Rasuls. All the Ibadats that humans are ordered to perform are somehow related to time. Within this configuration, Almighty Allah has taught us to manage and utilize time properly. The Prophets of Allah has shown us how to get the largest part of benefit from it. This article aims at time management and ensured the importance of it.
