Abstract
Due to their low cost, small profile, and simplicity of production in circuit boards,
micro strip antennas have become a crucial component of modern electronics. The
newest phase of wireless communication is known as 5G. While used separately,
the 4G and 5G bands have been employed in many nations. In order to construct a
dual-band microstrip patch antenna for both 4G and 5G applications, that is the
main goal of this study endeavor. The antenna runs at 2.6GHz for 4G applications
and 4.5GHz for 5G applications and was built and tested using CST Microwave
Studio. The gains of this microstrip patch antenna are 7.1 dBi and 7.2 dBi,
respectively, while the reflection coefficients are -19.99 dB (VSWR = 1.263) and -
35.79 dB (VSWR = 1.03). Both frequencies exhibit directivity above 8dBi and a
combined efficiency of at least 75%+. Due to its excellent gain performance, this
dual-resonance antenna can be included into communications systems.
