Item Techno-Economic Assesment Of Hybrid Energy System In Borama Somaliland(Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2021-09) AIDID, MOHAMED ABDULKADIR; ADAN AWL, SHARMARKECurrently, energy security and ecological virtue are turning into a significant worry to the socialized world because of developing populace and an Earth wide temperature boost, which persuades the scientist towards discovering elective energy assets rather than conventional energy hotspots for power age. Presently, the Hybrid Energy System has turned into a lot of consideration both in the created and agricultural nations. This exploration study is aimed at tracking down a more reasonable and viable strategy among advancements in the viewpoint of Somaliland's economy, energy effectiveness, and natural angles that can support our future energy interest.. This thesis study shows the methodology to build hybrid energy system components that will develop the current energy system of Borama city in an environmentally friendly and affordable price way. The goal of this project is to operate, simulate, and optimize hybrid energy systems. The hybrid energy system has been designed with a biomass gasifier generator set, solar and Fuel Cell energy system to fulfil partially load demand of Borama city that will contribute 2200 kWh. Initially five different cases were compared and then applied in Borama city of Somaliland in different aspects. The simulation results show that the gasification- based Technology is the best approach because to the elasticity of its operation, the cheaper cost, and the higher efficiency it offers. Affordable, reliable, clean energy, and it’s simple to design. The proposed design can reduce the electricity shortage remarkably with an affordable price.
