Abstract

Internet of Things revolutionized Health monitoring systems more than any other field. IoT in the medical field opened new ways of interaction and treatment with patients. In recent times of the Global pandemic, IoT-based health monitoring brought new and safer ways to treat the patient. Contagious diseases like Covid-19 can cause several symptoms in the human body. But most noticeable are breathing difficulties, fever, muscles ache, etc. In our proposed system we designed and implemented a contactless way to monitor blood saturation Level or SpO2, Heart rate, and body temperature with the help of an IoT Cloud server and Wireless network. We developed a prototype android application named ‘’Smart MedKiT’’ to monitor the vitals from distances, which can be monitored from anywhere. If the blood oxygen saturation level and heartbeat rate drop or body temperature increase or decrease the App will send an emergency SMS to the selected emergency contact. The data acquired from the patient will be saved and stored in a Cloud server for future assessment. This system was tested with two patients. The result was accurate based on the experimental system and the proposed system will work in the real world and the system is cheap, implementable, and efficient and it is also better sustainable for the patient and the doctor. We think it is better suitable for the Covid-19 and other respiratory diseases patient of Bangladesh and it will help the patient of Covid-19 from sudden Breathing difficulties and decrease the mortality rate for Covid-19.
